Norway Manufacturing Production (MoM)
Published:
Norway manufacturing production index (Statistics Norway) — monthly change
Full explanation
Norway Manufacturing Production (MoM) is the monthly percentage change in Statistics Norway's seasonally adjusted index of production for manufacturing only (2021=100). It excludes oil and gas extraction, mining and utilities, so it is narrower than total industrial production.
Why traders watch it
A direct read on activity in Norway's mainland manufacturing sector, which matters for Norges Bank and the krone.
Stronger vs weaker outcomes
A stronger-than-expected reading points to firmer activity; a weaker one points the other way.
